It was a cold morning early Saturday. We saw our first freeze in most of the metro and even the first frost at all in the urban core of the Twin Cities (such as MSP).

Statewide, the coldest temps were in western MN where there were widespread teens. The cold spot was Hallock at 9!

We do still have snow showers on the way but the models have been trending more south so it looks like accumulation is looking unlikely in the Twin Cities.
The southern counties of the state can still expect a coating to one inch of slushy accumulation on especially grassy areas.

Temperatures will continue to be below normal statewide with a warming trend toward late week. Here are high/low temperature forecasts for Twin Cities, Duluth, and Ely:
