You may be thinking, why go somewhere cold in November Sven? You normally head to warm places in the winter. This is true, but it's also THE time of year to head to the 'polar bear capitol' of the world: Churchill, Manitoba.

So what makes Churchill THE polar bear capitol? It's a combination of geography, climate and luck. The southern half of Canada's Hudson Bay is pretty much as far south on the globe that polar bears can exist.
