Roller Coaster temps, active pattern:

Writer: Sven SundgaardSven Sundgaard

We have just about 24 hours left of the briefly colder air before things warm up for the weekend and next week looks active again...

Cold night, warmer weekend

It'll be a cold night Thursday night into early Friday. Outside of the Twin Cities most places will be subzero and even in some suburbs. Northern Minnesota will see lows drop into the teens below.

We warm up rapidly Friday with lots of sunshine all day. Highs will be in the upper 20s, maybe even near 30 by Friday evening already. Temps continue to rise into the weekend but drop next week below normal... slightly:

We'll have to keep an eye on a FEW systems next week as the pattern remains active.
